When I first read this book, it was because I’m a sucker for James Bond
and, mix that with erotic romance, and I’m a slave! I had never heard of C.P. Mandara and, after
a non-stop reading session, she had elevated into the “favorite writer”
category. Her words fall easily across
the page and, although it is dark-dark-dark, the sex she writes jumps out from
the characters and draws you in.
Consider yourself warned, this is probably the “easiest” sex of the
series- and it isn’t for the fainthearted!
The sexual elements of BDSM mix with the psychology of sex to bring you
into a world that is both real and fiction.
This is a whirlwind of a book that demands you fall in love with this
series.

was this book that really crafted the love triangle aspect for me and, by the end
of it, I was a believer. The world of
deception and sexual intrigue leaps off the page and sucks you in instantly.

Some of the scenes made me take a break so that I could process. By this book, I wasn’t able to do anything
except read. The rest of my life
stopped! It was a torrential downpour of
erotic romance and suspense, and one that I couldn’t get enough of.

that create the story- alive- in your head, but rarely are there books that do
both. This series does that. It doesn’t just take you on an escape, it
takes you out of your own head and puts you in the story. This book especially, with its tortures and
sexual escapades, reads in such a way that it creates a movie running through
your head. You’ll want to put it down in
order to breathe, but you won’t be able to!

I read this book straight- I couldn’t put it down. My heart was in my throat for most of it, and
the main shift- that blindsided me. I
couldn’t breathe through the pain of some of the sections, and C.P. kept the pace
moving so fast that there wasn’t time to focus!
Never did I assume there would be a “happy ending” style ending, but she
pulled it off expertly. When I finished,
although I knew I was instantly moving to the next chapter of this tale (in the
start of a new series), I needed a break to decompress.
